After a Yaddo residency, and six months in Rome, Leslie Brack's studio is thick with new work. Known for her small scale oil paintings, over the past year she has also developed a watercolor practice and created a surprising series of 3-dimensional objects. In all of them, Brack manages to infuse the detritus of Pop culture with emotion and sensitivity. Her confessional texts overlay found images, books and album covers with melancholy and dread.
